Hinkstep is the alias of the Swedish audio engineer and musician Jonas Tegenfeldt who became interested in music in a very young age when he started to play drums. The artist followed a musical journey beginning with rock and metal to drum and bass, continuing with trip-hop and finally, finding his own niche in the elysian fields of psychedelia. While his music has been previously identified as psychill or psybient, compositions such as “Aldrig Mer” make the artist’s genre something that is hard to pin down due to his unique sound and eclectic beats. Mixing classical psybient tunes with a strong, yet gentle emotional core, the artist has been making music since 2005 with this alias and has been under constant progression since then. Compared to other artists of the psychedelic genres, Hinkstep’s music has much stronger emotional and poetic undertones; as if we are listening to a romantic-era poet who reincarnated and learned to use the synthesizer and the computer in order to create music out of his poetry. He himself suggests that his music is and has always been a reflection of his heart, his true inner self expressed in rhythms and pitch. Endowed with passion and a creative spirit, it can be said that the artist had enlived, enlives and is going to be enliving to this mantra as long as he is making music.

Jlynd Nfrn is an Indonesian rock musician, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He began his musical career in the mid-2000s performing in a number of local rock bands. After gaining initial attention with his bands, he decided to create a solo projects. In the years after he left his bands, he has undertaken a number of other musical ventures including DJing and record producing.

Supa Wav is a Trap/Rap/Hip-Hop music producer from New York that has been producing music since 2014. Some of his early inspirations are Kanye West and Southside. Producing music has always been therapeutic for “Supa Wav” as it helps him escape reality as he draws inspiration from everyday life. His up-tempo, dark and aggressive sounds will take you through an unlawful journey. Avith Ortega is an artist based in Mexico whom makes music of diverse genres such as Ambient, Trip Hop, Downtempo, Electronic, among others. He started releasing triphop/ambient/instrumental music in 2012 with the album The Spill, being every album a story, with songs that goes from soft and eerie to harsh and dark, always ment to be musical and emotional, taking inspiration from psychological survival horror games and movies, continuing producing more albums with this approach. Later in 2015 he started on electronic music, releasing (under the same name at the beginning) his first Electronic album "contrasting nuances". Electronic music from 70's and 80's is one of his main influences, so the always-evolving, atmospheric, and dream-analog sounds are present in his music, combined with the sound of modern instruments creates a hybrid style in his electronic releases. Currently he makes TripHop/Ambient music as Avith Ortega, electronic music as Avitronic, and Techno music as AVITECH. He also composes music for videogames, were some projects are still being in production, soon to be released.

I find extremely interesting the concept of music totally created from binary code (instruments and voices) and distributed thanks to further binary code.
